Google has announced it has integrated Places API with Google Maps to offer more reliable search results

This will impact developers using the types parameter for Radar Search, Text Search or Nearby Search.

The corporation said it is adjusting support for place type restrictions for the Places API JavaScript library  & web service. February 8, they replaced the types restriction parameter with a fresh type search parameter.

This will impact developers using the types parameter for Radar Search, Text Search or Nearby Search.

Google will also be changing the supported types, dropping the types health, establishment, food, general_contractor, place_of_worship & finance. These searchable types will no longer be accessible as of February 8, 2017. These types will still be returned in details results & search.
